Autumn staples

Autumn is one of the seasons I have mixed feelings about. I love the whole autumn mood with big scarves and warm drinks, but sometimes I don't like cold weather and too many layers (don't get me wrong, layering is fun but after a while you just want to wear a pair of jeans and a t shirt without all the sweaters and jackets). For all of you who feel the same way here are the key things that will help you enjoy autumn and the transition beet wen hot summer days and rainy autumny weather.

A nice skirt
Take one pretty and warm skirt, add tights, sweater and nice boots and you are on your way to the perfect autumn outfit. I am always wearing skirts with over sized jackets while it's still not freezing cold. This one is from H&M and it has a lining which is important for skirts you want to wear in Autumn, save your less warm skirts for spring.

Statement necklace
If you want to fell like summer is still here wear a piece of jewelry that reminds you on warm summer days. For me it's any statement necklace with semi-precious stones or bright colors, like this one from Forever 21.

Dark nail polish
We all know dark nail polish shades are reserved for autumn. Of course that doesn't mean you have to wear them, you can wear any colour you want, but somehow I do feel like wearing darker shades. My all time autumn favourites are Boris & Natasha and Here today Aragon tomorrow from OPI.

Big scarf
Pretty much a necessity in the cold weather, nothing better than wrapping yourself in your favourite scarf. Right now I love wearing the scarf I bought in Paris, but soon I'll switch to thicker scarves as the weather gets cooler.

Ankle boots
And the last on the list are ankle boots, perfect shoes for autumn. Boots are my favourite type of shoes, especially ankle boots. You can wear them with pretty much anything and if you find a comfortable pair you won't be able to take them off! My advice is to buy flat or mid heel boots (like these from Bata), there's really no point in stumbling around in high heels on windy, rainy day.
