Art Inspiration N0. 18

In a post Banksy world we are used to seeing all sorts of politically engaged and meaningful graffiti. Although anyone who says this risks being torn apart by art critics, I don't think art should be political to be art. Art always represents the time in which it was made, true, but it doesn't have to be in any way political to be meaningful. That is the main reason why I like this artist and his art project more than I like Banksy's work. Project is called Outings and the artist is Julien de Casabianca. He takes portret paintings form museums and puts them on the walls of decaying buildings, that way making it posible for more people to see them. I love this idea, it's unique and beautiful and reminds us of some classical paintings that hang forrgoten in museums.

What do you think? Do you like this idea?
