Wedding fashion

Recently I was approached by a wedding dresses website to write a post about wedding fashion. Considering that I love writing about fashion (and can talk on and on about it) I couldn't say no. Also, autumn is always a great season for weddings, so the timing was perfect. If you are planning a wedding, or are just curious about wedding dresses, keep on reading.

When it comes to wedding dresses right now it's considered obligatory to get married in one. Personally, I don't think this is the case, if you feel more comfortable in some other type of clothing (like white designer gown, plain dress in any colour of your choice, or, hey, white suit, why not) go for it. Still, most of the brides will eventually pick a wedding dress. And this is also completely understandable, you only get the one chance in your life to wear something that looks like it came out of a Disney movie, so why not take it? Pick whatever works for you, and remember, you can wear anything you like, it's your day (and your life) after all.

My second tip would be: don't get confused. In the sea of options and different types of dresses it's easy to get lost. Like always, getting enough information is the key. Do your homework and research the dress types before you go shopping. Decide which styles you like the most and which cuts are close to your personal style. Weather and venue also play a role, winter church wedding and summer wedding on the beach require two completely different dresses. Lastly, think about shopping options. Do you want a brand new dress, or a vintage one? Maybe you want a custom made dress? Or a rental? When you decide on this you'll know where to look for.

Picking a dress that works for you isn't a hard task, you just need to know what you are looking for. For example, I love dresses that have a strong vintage feel, and are relaxed and flowy. On the other hand, ball gown shape is not my cup of tea. You might think quite the opposite, and that's why a perfect wedding dress is a very subjective thing. If you are more into simple, relaxed dresses and want to wear something comfortable (and perfect for dancing) you should consider simple knee length bridal gowns. This type of dress is very comfortable and practical, and I feel it has been forgotten lately because everyone is opting for big, glamorous gowns. If you plan on wearing two dressed and changing after the ceremony, this style is ideal for the second dress. Simple garden bridal gowns are perfect for a wedding that's outdoors. This style has its origins in the end of the 19th century when it became popular to wear garden party dresses as wedding dresses. It's still popular and is known for that lovely vintage feel. Garden weddings are huge right now (at least according to celebrity weddings and Pinterest) and wedding dresses designers are following this trend and stepping up when it comes to garden wedding dresses.

What do you think? What's your favourite wedding dress style?

Vreme i mesto takođe igraju bitnu ulogu, zimsko venčanje u crkvi i letnje venčanje na plaži zahtevaju dve potpuno drugačije haljine. Poslednje, razmislite o opcijama kupovine.
