While this years cold wave is (hopefully) coming to an end, I remembered the year when I bought this coat. It was couple of years ago and that winter wasn't harsh at all. It was my freshman year at college so I had other things on my mind and wasn't even thinking about weather. At that time my love for good vintage finds was born. I was into vintage pieces before, but mainly the ones that once belonged to family members, I didn't yet have the skills for quality thrift shopping. That all changed when I found a couple of stores I really liked and I started visiting them frequently. In one small shop with vintage clothes, shoes and furniture I found this great coat. The store was at the end of a very steep street so it was quite the challenge to go back up carrying a bag with the coat in it (it's pretty heavy). Still, it was all worth it, this is now the warmest coat I have. And dare I say the chicest? It has some edginess to it, but I think it can still look gentle and feminine.
