Remember when I said I've never found homemade hair mask worth making? Well, that was before I tried this one.
I love homemade masks that work, I always get disappointed when I spend time and effort to make a mask that doesn't work and that happened to me so many times before with hair masks.
Adventurous that I am I didn't stop trying and was so happy when this one made my hair super smooth, silky and looking less damaged.
This recipe is enough to cover medium length hair, my hair is quite long so it barley covered all of it, next time I'll double the recipe. If your hair is short to medium length this amount will be enough for you.

Here is the recipe:
1 egg (if your hair is super dry use only yolk)
1 cup of milk
1/2 lemon
2 table spoons of olive oil

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl using a fork. Every time when I use an egg for masks I whisk it a bit first, it's easier to use when it's whisked.
Make sure your hair is well brushed and apply the mask all over the hair. I use it on dry hair.
Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then wash it out and wash your hair as you normally would.
Make sure to use lukewarm water while washing the mask out, otherwise you may cook the egg with hot water and end up with egg chunks in your hair.
Lemon juice is known for lightening the hair, but the small amount that goes in this mask won't lighten your hair a bit if you are worried about that.
Every time I use this mask my hair is so soft and shinny, I will definitely continue using it.
If you have good homemade masks recipes leave them in the comments, I always love to try new masks.
