It can be frustrating when you are doing everything to keep your skin spot free, but are still getting breakouts on regular basis. Skincare is not the only thing you should keep in mind, many other aspects effect your skin and cause pimples and acne. Here I'm not going to talk about more obvious breakout triggers like stress, hormones, sleeping with your makeup and not washing you brushes. It's about the things you are doing, but are unaware they are causing you acne. 

Silicons in your makeup

Many makeup (and unfortunately skincare) products contain silicons. You may recognize them in the ingredients lists as dimethicone, trimethicone, etc. Silicons stick to your skin, and that's why makeup with silicons stays on the skin so well. But, they can also clog your pores. I find that they don't cause me acne, but they do clog my pores so I get those annoying little clogged pores on my forehead. Obviously, some of my favourite makeup products have silicone in them so I try not to use those everyday.


Mineral oil

My skin could be a litmus paper for mineral oil. If I break out from a face cream, I can be 99% sure it is because it has mineral oil in the ingredients list. When you are breaking out and you can't figure out why make sure to check weather your face cream contains mineral oil

Smoking

It's no secret smoking is terrible for your skin and overall health. But little known fact is that it can also cause acne. First of all, when you are smoking your skin gets less oxygen so all of it's functions get disturbed. And smoking can cause hormone disbalance which can cause breakouts as well. Here I'm not judging anyone, I used to smoke and my skin looked really bad at that time.

Over drying

Washing your skin with water that's to hot or exposing it to sun too much can lead to dryness. When skin is dry it produces more oil and that oil combined with dirt clogs your pores. You should never wash your face with water that's too hot or sun bathe for hours.

Laundry detergent and softener

I'm the first one to use a ton of fabric softener when I'm doing my laundry. But when you sleep on the pillow case you washed with some types of detergent (or softener) it may irritate your skin. Dermatologist suggest using more natural detergents like Frosch if your detergent is making you break out.




Može da bude frustrirajuće ako radite sve što je u vašoj moći da bi vam koža bila čista, a i dalje vam redovno izlaze bubuljice. Nega kože nije jedina stvar na koju treba obratiti pažnju, mnogi drugi činioci takođe utiču na kožu i mogu da izazovu akne i bubuljice. Ovde neću da pričam o očiglednijim izazivačima bubuljica kao što su stres, hormoni, spavanje sa šminkom i nečiste četkice za šminku. Već o stvarima koje radite a možda niste ni svesni da vam prave haos na koži.

Silikoni u šminki

Mnogo proizvoda za šminkanje (i nažalost negu kože) sadrže silikone. Možete da ih prepoznate na listi sastojaka kao dimethicone, trimethicone, itd. Silikoni se lepe za kožu, i to je razlog zbog koga šminka koja ih sadrži tako dobro stoji na koži. Ali, oni takođe mogu i da vam zapuše pore. Meni recimo ne izazivaju akne, ali mi zapuše pore pa imam one iritantne male zapušene pore na čelu. Očigledno, neki od mojih omiljenih proizvoda za šminkanje sadrže silikon pa se trudim da ih ne koristim svakodnevno.

Mineralno ulje

Moja koža bi mogla da bude lakmus papir za mineralno ulje. Ako mi izađu bubuljice od kreme za lice, mogu 99% da budem sigurna da je to zbog mineralnog ulja u listi sastojaka. Kada vam izlaze bubuljice a nikako ne možete da otkrijete zašto, obavezno proverite da li vam krema za lice sadrži mineralno ulje.

Pušenje

Nije tajna da je pušenje užasno za kožu i zdravlje uopšte. Ali malo poznata činjenica je da može i da izazove akne. Pre svega, kada pušite koža dobija manje kiseonika pa su sve njene funkcije poremećene. Takođe, pušenje može da izazove disbalans hormona što takođe doprinosi nastanku bubuljica. Ovde ne mislim bilo koga da osuđujem, i ja sam ranije pušila i tada mi je koža izgledala najgore.

Isušivanje

Umivanje vodom koja je previše vruća ili preterano izlaganje suncu mogu da isuše kožu. Kada je ona suva poizvodi više ulja koje u kombinaciji sa nečistoćama zapušava pore. Nikada ne bi trebalo da se umivate prevrućom vodom ili da se sunčate satima.

Prašak i omekšivač za veš

Ja sam prva koja natrpa podosta omekšivača kada perem veš. Ali kad spavate na jastučnici koju ste oprali određenom vrstom praška (ili omekšivača) to može da iziritira kožu. Dermatolozi preporučuju upotrebu prirodnijh praškova, kao što je Frosch, ako vam od praška izlaze bubuljice.
