Fur cardigan

December 25, 2024

You've probably by now seen the ongoing debate on whether it's more ethical to wear real vintage fur ot fake fur. We are all drawn to conclusion that vintage fur is actually the best for the Planet since it doesn't pollute the environment the way making of fake fur does. As far as real fur goes you probably know its impact and non ethical way its made. So what about vintage fur makes it better? It's already here so destroying it seems unreasonable and why not get vintage fur instead of making new fur coats every day. With all of this being said I have to say here I'm wearing a cardigan with fake fur. I already did an outfit post with it a way back so here's another way to make it more eco friendly, re-wear the clothes you already have.
This cardigan was a part of  The Camille Charrière x Mango Collection and I think that collaboration had some really nice pieces.
Also, I wore it on a snowy day since it somehow makes sense to wear these type of cardigans in wintry weather. and I think that collaboration had some really nice pieces.

Summer fit

August 11, 2024

First time wearing this hat on the beach and it does have a specific vibe. It's super practical since I can just pack it in any beach bag. I don't know it is kid of cute, I've never had a beach hat like this before, all the other ones I've had were made of straw and with some kind of structure. This one has a vibe similar to bucket hats but with a wider and more loose brim. The rest of the outfit is a typical summer outfit for me, a shirt paired with a pair of black shorts over a swimsuit. And with my favorite beach bag.

Bodycon dresses revival

July 15, 2024

Who remembers the era of bodycon dresses? More specifically the bandage dress, the ultimate example of this style. I have to admit that back then I thought they were tacky. It was the spirit of the time, if you loved flowy dresses you were supposed to look down on the bandage dress style, but when I  think about it now, they weren't that bad at all. Like always, Hervé Léger has some really pretty bandage dresses and I've seen people on TikTok wearing the ''vintage'' ones (or should I say older ones that were thrifted). This one I'm wearing is not exactly the tight bodycon type, since I wanted a dress I can wear everyday. It's in a similar style though which made me remember bandage dresses existed. Today I decided to blow-dry my hair after days of air drying it and I used a dupe for a Revlon blowout brush. It gives you a nice hairstyle I guess, but I prefer a salon blowout.

Cotton jumpsuit

May 22, 2024

I feel like jumpsuits are the most practical piece of clothing ever. Especially these type that look like dresses since you get the dress aesthetic but so practical and comfy. This one is maybe the prettiest one I own. It has this kind of a retro romantic vibe so I thought it was perfect for me. And the fabric is so nice which is always a plus.

Flared pants

April 03, 2024

Flares are not the newest of trends but I had to comment on this since they do give the best outfit silhouettes.  Especially with sneakers and kitten heels boots. Here I paired them with a boho straw bag and a denim jacket. These types of jackets are also gaining popularity right now and I still remember when they were popular back in the day. Same goes for flared pants since I wore them a lot as a kid.

Camel coats with white shirts

March 30, 2024

Although this looks like a super simple outfit it kind of gives a Pinterest vibe. I am still not used to camel wrap coats, but I'm warming up to this one. Even here I didn't wear it completely wrapped up. Ever since the weather started transitioning to spring it made sense to me to switch up my darker coats for a camel one.

Boho knitted dress

October 24, 2023

Here's a dress I wanted to find for a while, actually I was looking for a long knitted dress in a similar color. Tried to find it, even on those Instagram pages that sell knitted clothes, but with no luck so I just gave up until I found this one yesterday. It's still quite warm so I was able to wear it today, love the boho vibes of it as well as this color.

Dusty pink kimono

August 23, 2023

This is one of my oldest ''kimonos'' and I love wearing it for the beach, I almost always bring it when I'm traveling. It can also be worn over other outfits, not just for the beach. Here I paired it with a simple black pair of shorts over a bikini, of course.

Olive green wide leg pants

August 15, 2023

Maybe my favorite summer pants right now, you can dress them up or down, wear them in boho outfits as well as classic or minimalistic ones. I already wrote about how I love linen pants for summer, which I do, but linen pants never look as sleek as viscose ones. These are 100% viscose, it's a great fabric for summer, I love night dresses made of it. Blouse that I'm wearing here is a knit blouse, also a trend during the last couple of years, to wear knit blouses in the warmer weather.

Linen shirt

July 15, 2023

For the last week or so I was looking for an oversized shirt similar to this one to wear with shorts and skirts for summer, I have a white cotton oversized shirt from my "I'll wear a white shirt over a bikini'' phase from like ten years ago but back then shirts had those buttons on the sleeves so you can secure the sleeve when you roll it up and now those buttons are giving me the ick. It's not so much the buttons, you can always just cut them off, it's those stringy things you use over the rolled up sleeve to attach it to the button. Anyways, I went thrifting for a bit but didn't find the shirt I wanted and I stopped thinking about it and then I saw this store I like was having a sale and so many male shirts were on there, including this one. I also tried one of those blue cotton shirts and decided I want a linen one more. My tip is to always get male shirts for this oversized shirt look, since women's shirts tend to be more tight or even shorter which is fine if you want that look, I prefer the oversized silhouette.

Pinterest inspired outfits

July 13, 2023

When you don't know what to wear and have no inspiration, on those days checking Pinterest for outfit ideas comes in handy. I don't do it so often but I love to save inspirational fashion photos on Pinterest everyday, even if I'm not planning to recreate those outfits, they inspire me in other ways. Back in March when I took these photos a combination of black T-shirts and denim skirts with black boots was all over the app (or website, sometimes I love to go on Pinterest website as well, try it) and it didn't directly inspire me but I did think it was cute so I subconsciously recreated it. Next time when you don't know what to wear it might be fun to try some of the Pinterest outfits or just go on there and get inspired.

2000s tops

July 11, 2023

Almost all cute tops that I've seen recently have been heavily inspired by early 2000s fashion. It's all a part of a revival of fashion from this period and we know trends go in circle and return after a while. Even popcorn tops came back in style, among other similar trends. This top here has that distinct 2000s cut and also a color scheme that reminds me of tops from that time. I like this cut a lot and even got a popcorn top in the same style. Y2K print T-shirts and tops are back as well and I've seen people style them in the cutest ways.

Leggings outfits

February 28, 2020

I can't remember if I ever posted a look with leggings before. Probably not because I rarely wear them outside the house. Except when I'm working out, but that doesn't count. Denim jackets are the whole different story, I love wearing them so much that the only time during my childhood when my Mom got angry with me has been when I wanted to outside in my denim jacket during the winter. I actually waited for her to go back into the kitchen when she explicitly said I can't wear it and then put in back on. In my defense it was one of those winter days when snow is almost melted and it looked like spring to 5 year old me.

Pink on all black

February 26, 2020

The things you can wear in this weather, you can pretty much pair anything and it will be fine. Except the real summer wardrobe, although I did see people wear shorts during February. I would usually wear this jacket in colder weather, so I wouldn't be able to pair it with these boots, since they are for a bit warmer weather. If that makes any sense whatsoever. Although I did one post before with these exact boots and jacket, but it was a weirdly warm day as well. I do still love this 90s inspired outwear style, especially the puffer jackets. They remind me of my childhood, I used to have a similar purple jacket I adored.

Return of 90s boots

February 20, 2020

Ankle boots are the prettiest boots in my opinion. They look good with everything, even cropped pants, which is impossible for knee high boots. Well, maybe I love over the knee boots as much as I love ankle boots, but they go well with different outfits. As trends and styles are changing so are the types and models of ankle boots. At the beginning of 2010s biker boots and boots with zippers at unusual and more usual places were all the rage. Back then I got really into ankle boots with a reasonable heel and I got a pair of Topshop Mightly leather zip boots. You can see them here, they'll probably remind you of a pair you had or have seen on the streets. I wore these boots to death, I wore them literally everyday. Although a fit was a bit wider and I have narrow feet, they were bread and butter of my everyday outfits. Now when I think about it they weren't extremely comfortable, I mean they were for a boot with a heel, but you know what I mean it wasn't like I was wearing sneakers. Which is a trend that also came later.

Gray blazer

February 18, 2020

Second look with this blazer in two weeks. 💕 It really is one of my favourite blazers, I like this cut that's structured and tailored but also not too tight. I love this look with blazers/jackets and skirts, even when they are not a part of a set (which is also cute, but gives you a different look). Back when I first did a post with this jacket I wrote how you can't wear it a lot during the year because it doesn't go well with any weather, turns out it is perfect for unusually warm winters.

Sunny weather

February 14, 2020

Don't you just love sunny days when it's supposed to be winter and all cold and gloomy. Any day when you can wear sunglasses for real is amazing in my book. 😂 This time I thought to go with this simple look of a turtleneck (well, almost) sweater with a wool jacket because you can wear this type of outfits only when the winter is really warm. Any jeans that are not super skinny will go with the look, shorter leg ones are the best because you can pair them well with ankle boots. Speaking about the boots, these are actually my new favourite pair of ankle boots, but more about them in the next fashion post. I think I like them because they are a bit taller than all the other ankle boots I have so they look super cute with jeans that have a shorter leg.

Two toned boots

February 08, 2020

I was never the biggest fan of suede boots, but I think I'm warming up to them. I like these mainly because of the heel length, this kind of high but not too high heel is my favourite when it comes to boots. Usually I wear ankle boots with such heel, still I liked these a lot because I thought they will look cute with boho dresses when the spring comes. That whole 70s dresses with chunky heel boots is right up my alley. What do you think about wearing black and brown together? When I first saw these boots all I could think about is that ''rule'' that says you can't pair black and brown. Now, I don't really believe in any rules when it comes to fashion, although I still clearly remember the day one of my friends told me she would never wear black and brown together. We were in high school back then and that ''rule'' made no sense to me back then as it doesn't today. Maybe I just like to rebel against all the rules. 😂

2020

January 10, 2020

First post in this year! I wish you all the best, a lots of happiness and great work ethic so you can turn all you plans into reality. If you make New Year's resolutions you've probably already made them by now. I don't usually make resolutions at the beginning of the year, like I mentioned in my New Year's posts before. Still, this year I thought it would be fun to try cooking more healthy recipes and to bake more. I love cooking, but I don't bake that much, which is already changing since I baked three batches of chocolate chip cookies in the last three days. 😂 Looks like I'm close to finding that perfect recipe.

Teddy coat & mom jeans

December 27, 2019

One coat you've probably been seeing everywhere is a teddy coat. It's my favourite coat for winter outfits for many reasons. Teddy coats are definitely one of the warmest and comfiest coats ever. You can just throw them on top of everything and they will make you warm. Not so sure it will look that elegant, but that's not what these coats are known for. As the decade is coming to an end (I know, sounds super scary 😂) it makes me think about the trends that will make this transition.
