Every time I'm dressing for nice weather and when it's time to choose shoes I can't decide which pair to pick. My usual pick are ankle boots, those are the shoes I wear the most, but not every weather is appropriate for them. Naturally, Spring outfits require matching shoes and for this Spring two models are very popular: ballerina flats and pointy heels. I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of high heels for day time. Kitten heels, sure, medium heels, even better, but high heels during the day always seemed tacky to me and I always felt sorry for the girls I saw stumbling around in super high heels during the day.
That was all until pointy heels came back in style (this time in modified version, who remembers those overly pointy heels that were popular ten years ago?). Only way to make a pointy heel wearable is to make the heel reasonably high, because it has no platform. When the heel is shorter a shoe becomes day appropriate. So now we have two options to choose from: flats or pointy heels. If you've ever seen or wore an outfit that includes pointy heels then you know how elegant and stylish they look. The way they look is actually their greatest advantage and the reason why I want to reach for them every time I'm getting ready. I decided to make a list of pros and cons for both type of shoes and it may help you if you are struggling with the same dilemma.

Pointy heels:
pros:
-like I already mentioned, they look good, actually they look amazing
-some models are very comfortable like Spring break heels form Asos (black shoe in the photo)
-heel is short so you can walk in them
-they are not tacky like extremely high heels
-nothing dresses up a simple outfit like a pair of pointy heels
-obviously, they make you taller
cons:
-after all they are heels, so your feet will eventualy hurt
-walking in heels always requires more attention, you don't want to step into any holes or puddles
-you may look overdressed (but I don't mind being a bit overdressed)

Ballet flats:
pros:
-they are super comfortable
-walking in them is as easy as it gets
-you don't have to be worried you'll ruin them, you probably have a couple of pairs
-they look stylish especially with the right outfit
-you can wear them with almost anything
cons:
-although they are stylish, they don't look as elegant as heels
-sometimes they will give you pretty bad blisters (I don't know why but I get the worse blisters from ballerina flats)
-your feet can hurt if you walk the whole day in shoes that are super flat, if you had a problem with this you'll know what I'm talking about

I have my pros and cons listed, now I have to see which shoes will I actually wear the most this Spring. What do you think, are you willing to try heels for a day look?
