I used to think my favourite kind of dresses were kimono dresses, until I discovered it's halter necks. It all started when I got two beautiful halter neck tops (both knitted and look gorgeous in summer outfits) and realized I like how the silhouette with bare shoulders and arms looks. With kimono dresses your arms and shoulders are covered so you have to find a pretty décolleté line to get a nice silhouette. I tried this gorgeous kimono dress from Monsoon last summer, fit was perfect in every sense, except for the décolleté that just didn't fit right. So that's what to look out for when you are getting kimono dresses, the way cut looks when it's on and décolleté that is not to low.

I got this one last Spring for my nieces 18th birthday and I also thought I could wear it for my friend's bachelorette party soon . But the party is in March so it's probably going to be too cold for it. Great thing about this particular dress though is that you can wear it in casual outfits as well, I wore it for a dinner with sneakers and a denim jacket once. The colour is also what drawn me to it, I don't normally wear pink or at least I didn't before, still this and similar shades look so pretty I can't resist. Paler shades as well, actually the paler the shade of pink the more I like it.
