My skin really loves to be exfoliated. I can use scrubs (or peelings) couple times of week without it becoming thin or irritated. However I try to keep it to the minimum, so I usually exfoliate two times a week. There are different types and a wide range of exfoliating products. I like both mechanical peelings and enzyme peelings equally. With that being said I have to admit that my favourite way to exfoliate is actually with the help of overnight treatments like Alpha H Liquid gold, but I will write about those in another post. So here are my favourites among the ones that are not overnight treatments.

Alpha H-Micro cleanse

This is technically a scrub because it has rice bran in it, which together with 12% Glycolic acid makes a powerful combo for removing dead skin, cleaning your pores and stimulating circulation. I gently massage my face with small amount of scrub, leave it on while I brush my teeth and rinse it off with water.

Burt's bees-Citrus facial scrub

Completely natural and free of chemicals, this is an opposite of Alpha H Micro cleanse. You mix it with water to form a paste which you massage on in circular motions. What I like the most is that it leaves my face so soft and hydrated, I was genuinely surprised how soft my skin was after using it for the first time. This stuff would be great for any skin type, especially dry skin but it works wonders on oily skin as well.

Freeman apricot facial creamy scrub

Good old trusty Freeman scrub is an old fashioned no-fuss exfoliator. The texture is quite nice, creamy with tiny grains, feels great on the skin and smells amazing.

Balea Enzym peeling mask

This is something a little bit different, a mask peeling that uses enzymes to remove a layer of dead skin cells. You're supposed to leave it on for about 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse it off. In that time it will get rid of all dead skin and set free skin that's underneath. It won't dry out or irritate your skin, In fact it feels really nice on your face.
